WHAT IS IT? SECURE
There are so many aspects to keep in mind about the security in lifts, from the small details like a good levelling that remains over time (like in “Kron2Solution”, due to the low elongation and slipping), to the aspects we are all worried about relating to regulations.
Our solution integrates redundant brakes of maximum security, which act in upwards and downwards directions and can be used as part of the mechanism against the UCM (Unintended Car Movements) (EN81-1+A3).
The properties of the rope prevent the slipping on the pulleys and minimize the wear of both elements, which reduces the displacement of the cabin in case of UCM and avoids the uncertainty of its lengthening over the time (EN81-1+A3, 9.11).
This is why we guarantee the compliance of the requeriments against UCM mentioned in the norm EN81-1+A3 all along the rope’s life. In order to achieve this the lift controller should include the control of the microswitches of the security brake. The two signals from the brake should be combined with the signal of the functioning of the brake from the lift controller and in case of a failure the cabin should be stopped and the cause of the failure detected.
Worry about complying with the regulations today and you will relax tomorrow, having more time.
